Tipping Point Marketing

There was a time when I was an inactive Twitter user.  Yes, I had created the account but wasn’t really sure what to do with it.  I would sign in every six months or so, scroll through everything I had missed and mumble, “I just don’t get it.”  I was active on Facebook and just didn’t see why I needed to jump onto yet another social networking site.

Sound familiar?

So how did I get over that “Twitter hump”?  Here are four steps that helped me overcome the confusion and somewhat intimidation I had of this other social media world.

1. Applications: Get off of twitter.com and find a good application that works for you.  HootSuite and Tweet Deck are both useful Twitter tools that help you manage your Twitter conversations.  HootSuite was what finally converted me – it is simple and understandable and had a clean dashboard that showed me…
