Just What does Thanksgiving mean to You? #HappyThanksgiving

Sadly, here in Oz we don’t celebrate Thanksgiving and I have always wished we did. Thanksgiving to me really kicks off the festive season, bringing families and friends together, giving us all a time to reflect and appreciate the good things that the year has brought to us all, and not to mention the super-delicious turkey for dinner!!  I have never quite understood just why us Aussies don’t celebrate Thanksgiving, I have always thought that it was just an American thing. It’s disappointing really that we don’t celebrate it.

Anyways,  I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you all, (since it’s the time of thanksgiving) for your support and and stopping by to read my posts. I am still feeling only fairly new to blogging, and am hoping that my blogs can be as popular and widely read as the best of them!  –  but as they say, practice makes perfect!  You all mean so much to me, and your comments and thoughts to my posts are always greatly appreciated. 🙂

So now it’s  over to you, and your turn. I would love to hear your thoughts on what Thanksgiving means to you, and how you might be celebrating it.

Thank you again, for stopping by, hope you continue to enjoy reading my posts, and I truly wish you all a very, very happy Thanksgiving! xx

Taking a Look at Depression [#Infographic] – It’s not Just a Word

Hey there lovely’s! Like a lot of you out there, I have lived with depression since I was young, and don’t mind talking about it because I think creating more of an awareness of depression is not only good for me, but for other sufferers as well, while it also helps for non sufferers to gain more of an awareness of it and to realize that it’s not just a word, like a lot of people that don’t understand it, might think.

I have a huge love for people, and enjoy building new friendships, but like a lot of depression sufferers I have my ‘down days’ – days where I feel very alone, lost and just simply unhappy with myself. But knowing I think that way, and have those thoughts,  I then think to myself and realize that they are all just simply nothing more than negative words and once you start thinking in a negative way, it all kind of spirals out of control with one negative thought leading to another..not a good or happy state to be in 😦 .

The way I like to get by on my ‘down days’ is by keeping myself busy, and with so many amazing social media platforms out there, there are tonnes of ways to take your mind off your problems,  and if you follow me on twitter, you’ ll see that I love interacting with others and enjoy retweeting all kinds of fun and interesting tweets, – not only does it stop me from thinking negative thoughts, I find it an awesome platform for meeting some really interesting people, while learning tonnes of new stuff. Social Media really is amazing!  🙂 .

Here is an infographic I have found that gives a bit of an insight into depression:

Hope you’ve enjoyed my post, and if you are like me and are dealing or coping with depression, remember – negative thoughts or feelings are nothing more than negative words…and YOU have the power to stop them! 🙂

Twitter Tips – How often Should You Tweet?

With so many awesome people out there sharing loads of really useful information, it’s easy to get carried away retweeting, and spreading the word. Don’t get me wrong though, I think re-tweeting on twitter is awesome and is a really great way of getting your word out there, it’s kinda like chinese whispers via the internet!

But my question to you is this – how often do you think is ok to tweet, or re-tweet? The thing is,  you don’t want to be bombarding all your followers with so many tweets that your message just ends up getting lost amongst the hundreds of other tweets out there, and not being read. What’s your twitter game plan, if you have one? How often do you post messages yourself? I wanted to raise this question, since I am gaining more and more awesome followers every day, and find twitter a really amazing social media platform to learn from, with so many people tweeting some really useful information, and have been getting concerned that I may be getting a tad carried away posting or re-tweeting as often as I have been.

What are your thoughts? What do you think is the appropriate amount of time per day to spend on twitter? How often do you think is ok to tweet, or re-tweet? Your comments would be greatly appreciated… 🙂

Cheers!

You’ve Gotta love Social Media…

Hi there..well here’s to my 3rd post!  and I think I’m getting the hang of things. I quite enjoy writing my posts, and truly appreciate any comments and feedback on all my posts. I really think social media today has really evolved and is taking off more than ever, thanks to the genius “techno heads” that invented the Android tablets,  iPad, and you can even access you’re favorite social media platform on your mobile phone..it really makes life so much more simple, and enjoyable! – I mean how good is it that you can take your work with you anywhere, you can sit in a nice quite park and work or even in a coffee shop, and you don’t have to lug around a bulky or heavy laptop, – It certainly makes business for any blogger a lot more simpler.

Thanks to Social Media, I have met some really amazing people. The great thing about Social Media is that you can use them both for business and leisure, and are an awesome way of connecting with people, whether it’s for business or leisure.

Here’s a good example of just why I love Social Media so much, and think it should play a crucial part in any business… 🙂

Magic is Believing…..
